My Commitment to Periparto
Both my children were born abroad, far from family and friends. I was lucky not to fall ill, but I remember those first months as exhausting and lonely in a way I hadn't expected. I came to understand how thin that line can be: between ordinary tiredness and something much heavier, between coping and no longer being able to.
That was when I realised how much attention is given to physical preparation for birth — and how little room is left for the psychological side. Yet mental health challenges around childbirth are not exceptions: they are a widespread reality, more complex and more serious than the "baby blues" that people so readily reach for as an explanation.
Working for Periparto is how I choose to make a difference. With a Master of Arts, a qualification in fundraising management, and fifteen years of experience across national and international NGOs, I focus primarily on engagement and fundraising. I am the person to reach out to for anyone who shares this commitment and wants to be part of what we are building together.
