Mental health challenges during pregnancy are common, yet often overlooked. At least one in seven pregnant people experience depressive symptoms, anxiety, a combination of the two, or another mental health condition. Physical changes, hormonal fluctuations, social expectations, and personal stressors — such as financial worries, relationship difficulties, or past traumatic experiences — can increase the risk.
